NEW DELHI: The 2022 edition of Pro Panja has seen 1,109 arm-wrestlers from across the country registering for the event for the upcoming season.
Compared to the previous edition, the number of registrations has seen exponential growth this season – nearly three times of the ranking event.
Of all the participants who have registered, 897 are men, while 174 are women, and 37 belong to the specially-abled category. Kerala turned out to be the state with the maximum number of participants registering, with a total of 178 arm wrestlers (Women: 33, Men:145) entering their names.
Australian arm wrestling star and podcast host and producer Ryan Bowen praised Pro Panja League’s production values and described it as the ‘best in the world’ in his recent podcast. “The production level is the best the arm-wrestling has ever had. It’s really impressive. I think big things are going to come out of that,” Bowen said.
