Following the EUBC European Women’s Boxing Championships, the next continental event will be held in the Asia. The ASBC Asian Women’s & Men’s Elite Boxing Championships kicks off in Jordan’s capital Amman Monday, running through to November 13.
Amman last hosted the 2013 edition of the championships nine years ago. Amman also hosted the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships this March.
The last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships was held in Dubai in May 2021. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and India were the best nations.
Boxers who were born between 1982 and 2003 are eligible to participate in the ASBC Asian Women’s & Men’s Elite Boxing Championships in Amman. Altogether 25 champions will be crowned in the event which will have eleven busy competition days. The international elite training camp prior to the championships was held in Amman between October 14 and 29.
Altogether 320 boxers including 109 women and 211 men have registered to participate in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, host Jordan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Syria, Chinese Taipei, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Vietnam are the nations which are planning to participate at the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
The teams have been separated into eight different groups.

Women’s: 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 81kg and +81kg
Men’s: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg and +92kg
