LAUSANNE: The Olympic Virtual Series is to return in 2022 following the first edition this year, with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) noting its success at the Olympic Summit.
A review was received at the one-day Olympic Summit, organised by the IOC at the weekend to discuss various issues related to the Olympic movement,
The first Olympic Virtual Series brought together virtual sports from five International Federations.
The Summit noted that, building from this this strong base, the Olympic Virtual Series is planned to continue on an annual basis, providing opportunities for IFs to reach out, engage with and promote their sports, and reach new communities.
Details for the Olympic Virtual Series 2022 will now be confirmed in the first half of 2022, including the timing and the sports to be included.
