LONDON: BT Sport confirmed on Monday a new broadcast deal with Cricket Australia that will see it broadcast the five-Test series between Australia and England that begins on December 8, after renewing its UK rights deal to cover Australian men’s and women’s home internationals until 2025.
BT Sport showed the marquee Test series for the first time in the 2017/18 season and has retained exclusive rights for the men’s Ashes trip, which begins on December 8 and the subsequent women’s leg, starting on January 27.
The value of the deal has not been released. The previous five-year deal was worth a reported $A146 m.
