BHOPAL: The Centre, which last month gave in-principle approval to the Madhya Pradesh state government to host the Khelo India Games of 2022 in Bhopal, has reportedly issued a formal notification to that effect.
Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju will reportedly visit the Madhya Pradesh capital next month to make the formal announcement alongside state chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Chouhan had said last month that it was a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh that the Central government had granted in-principle approval to hold Khelo India Games of 2022 in Bhopal, and that due approval would be received “soon”.
