MUMBAI: The cricket season is on in India with the Indian Premier League and super popular online multi-player game PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUGB Mobile) has partnered host broadcaster Star Sports for the PUBG Mobile Premier League (PMPL).
With the PMPL, players have a chance to fight it out on the battlefield with their favorite cricketing stars, live! For users who have registered for the PMPL, all stats from Classic mode matches would be considered in this tournament.
For the record, registrations closed on April 10. Following registration, users had to select their favorite from the eight IPL teams. This would be the team they would play in, should they make it through. A team once chosen cannot be changed. Points for this tournament are calculated in the form of runs and apart from the stats amassed from the games. PMPL, which kicked off April 12, concludes May 1.
The final results will be announced on May 2 and the top 3 run scorers from each team will be the chosen to play PUBG Mobile with a list yet to be announced cricketers on May 4, live on Star Sports.
Registered users can find their scores (team or individual) from the tournament, on the official PUBG Mobile website. The leaderboard can only be viewed by registered users. There is no restriction on which map gamers can play on and they can choose from a range of different mode such as Solo, Duo, and Squad (All in classic mode).
