JAMSHEDPUR: The Badminton Association of India (BAI) has appointed K Prabhakar Rao, secretary of Jharkhand Badminton Association (JBA) as chairman of Para Badminton India.
In a letter dated 4th April, BAI president Himanta Biswa Sarma has made the announcement appointing K Prabhakar Rao, who is also the joint secretary of BAI, as the chairman of Para Badminton India.
Sarma also directed that henceforth, all the correspondence and co-ordination with government of India, Ministry of Youth Affair and Sports, Sports Authority of India and Paralympic Committee of India will be done by Rao.
Earlier, BAI had nominated Rao as Indian badminton team manager and observer in several national and international badminton championships. Rao was also made observer by the BAI during the recently concluded Premier Badminton League.
