MUMBAI: Significant Sports, the Mumbai-based agency which has been in the sports marketing and talent management business for over 12 years, has roped in former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin as one of its clients.
In the past, the company has handled high profile national and international cricketers like Yuvraj Singh, Amit Mishra, Darren Sammy, Chris Gayle, Siddharth Kaul, Deepak Hooda, Imran Tahir, Lisa Sthalekar, Michael Vaughan, and Michael Slater. It has also managed various aspects like security & protocol, player management, venue management hospitality etc. for top sporting leagues in India like the IPL, ISL and PKL.
Significant Sports will be exclusively managing Azharuddin and will handle his brand endorsements, commercial engagements, social & digital media and appearances. It will also look after his political interests as the 55-year-old has been a member of the Indian National Congress party since 2009. He is all set to fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections this year from the constituency of his home state, Telangana for the first time ever.
