LONDON: The Premier League’s Nominations Committee will restart its search for a new chief executive officer (CEO) after Susanna Dinnage opted out of her commitment for the post on Sunday.
Dinnage is presently serving as the global president of Discovery’s Animal Planet. She was appointed for the top job of the one of the world’s lucrative sporting leagues back in November 2018, replacing the outgoing Richard Scudamore. Scudamore who has been at the helm of the league since 1999.
According to UK’s The Guardian, Dinnage reportedly reflected, after accepting the move she had described as “a great privilege” to which she was looking forward “for many years to come”, and has opted to stay at Discovery.
The Premier League is already taking action with deputy chairperson Claudia Arney and former director of sales and marketing Richard Masters to co-head the league’s operations on an interim basis.
