MUMBAI: DreamWorks, the South East Asian pay television network and animation studio owned by NBC Universal, the subsidiary of Comcast, has announced that it will be launching a specialist channel in India for fight and contact sports, Indiantelevision.com reports.
The network has already begun the global satellite test transmission service for the same in its dedicated India unit in Bengaluru courtesy its partnership with Technicolor.
Its fight sports channel will be free-to-air (FTA) on SD format with the MPEG4 system. DreamWorks is making its presence felt in Asia further in eight languages across 11 countries either as a full channel or a branded block with digital partnerships.
