SonyLIV names Amogh Dusad as new content head

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) have opted to name its insights and programming strategy head Amogh Dusad as the new chief of content, partnerships and new initiatives for SonyLIV, its digital arm.

Dusad had confirmed the development on business networking platform LinkedIn by updating his profile. According to Exchange4Media, he will be reporting directly to Uday Sodhi, the head and executive VP of Sony’s digital business.

SonyLIV’s investment in recent times has beefed up for original and regional content in both sports and entertainment, with its success in broadcasting the FIFA World Cup 2018 in as many as five different regional languages besides English.

Dusad is expected to drive up content further, having 15 years of experience in the media industry. He has been a part of Sony since 2011. Prior to that, he has had stints with NDTV Imagine and TAM Research.
