NEW DELHI: In a radical move to attract more student fans for its home matches, Indian Super League (ISL) club Delhi Dynamos FC has opted for Rs. 49 as the starting price of its tickets. The club has subsidized its VIP tickets as well, pricing them at a meagre Rs. 249.
“The euphoria of watching a match live in the stadium is something really great and different, and we want everyone to have this experience,” Delhi Dynamos FC’s director Rohan Sharma said at the launch of the online tickets.
“Delhi is primarily a student area with a host of educational institutes in and around the NCR. Thus, keeping this in view, we thought why not make tickets easily affordable for everyone,” he added.
“The idea is to have more and more people come to the stadium. A lot of us just sit back at home and enjoy football. But the stadium experience is something which is totally different, and we want to provide that at an affordable rate. Supporting your team from the stands have a different aura, and let’s hope we have more and more fans join us for this experience,” Dynamos CEO Ashish Shah said.
The club has partnered with Paytm and Insider to book tickets online besides making them available on its official website too. Dynamos play their opening home game against FC Pune City on 3 October at the city’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
