MUMBAI: The Vivo Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) organizers Mashal Sports announced in an official statement on Monday that the sixth season of the competition will begin on 7 Oct and not 5 Oct as scheduled earlier due to logistical reasons.
“The 6th season of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League will start on October 7 instead of the earlier date of October 5 owing to logistical reasons such as caravan movement and stadium availability. Mashal Sports Pvt. Ltd, the rights owner and organisers of the league has made this considered decision in consultation with the principal stakeholders,” the statement read.
There is no other change in schedule otherwise as Chennai will host the first leg as planned. The playoffs will take place in Kochi on 30 and 31 December while the final will be contested in Mumbai on 5 January 2019.
