CHICAGO: Sports data company STATS announced on Wednesday its new partnership with USA Rugby, which will see them provide the national team with advanced analytical coverage for rugby competitions around the world.
The deal will also include competitions such as the Americas Rugby Championship and Major League Rugby.
USA Rugby will get access to a customized dashboard utilizing specific KPI calculations that will enable the national rugby team to track player performance of members competing across international competitions. The dashboard will also allow the comparison of American players against the world’s top competitors, ensuring their most comprehensive evaluation they battle it around the globe.
STATS’ rugby services portfolio also includes the national teams of Italy, France and Ireland.
“We are thrilled to welcome USA Rugby to the STATS rugby family,” said Ryan Paterson, chief global officer at STATS.
“STATS’ full suite of rugby data and analytics across all global and domestic competitions will allow USA Rugby to evaluate its players like never before and get in-depth player analysis in preparation for global competition.”
STATS’ other major sporting project at present is the FIFA World Cup 2018 for which they have joined hands with SpokeHub for a fan engagement initiative on social media platforms.
