T20 Mumbai League hit by franchise owner pullout: Report

MUMBAI: Probability Sports, organisers of the upcoming Twenty20 Mumbai League has reportedly run into trouble with one of the six franchises having pulled out. 

According to officials involved in the organization of the tournament, Shree Naman Group, which had bought the Mumbai North team, has had a change of mind, Mumbai Mirror reports. 

Interestingly, the Naman Group had made the highest bid among the six franchises, according to Mirror

The base prize for owning one of the franchises from Mumbai South, Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, or Mumbai South-Central was Rs 30 million.

The league is being organized by Probability Sports, a consortium consisting of IIFL and Wizcraft, who have got the rights for the six-franchise tournament from the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA).
