Nippon Paint has announced its collaboration with the India Champions team, currently competing in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025, as the sponsor for the team’s helmets, caps, and trousers.
With a legacy spanning over 140 years and rooted in Japanese heritage, Nippon Paint is renowned for its innovation and product excellence. The brand is now expanding its portfolio with the launch of the n-SHIELD range — featuring Paint Protection Films, Window Films, Headlamp Films, Windscreen Films, Ceramic Coatings, and a complete line of detailing products.
The collaboration was officially unveiled at a ceremony attended by senior leadership from Nippon Paint, including n-SHIELD category head Kunal Mukherjee, and Tarun Khandelwal, senior marcom manager. Representing the campaign’s digital and creative direction was Soniya from Pomelo, Nippon’s agency partner.
This partnership goes beyond on-field branding — Nippon Paint will also engage fans through team events and interactive experiences, enhancing brand visibility while fostering deeper consumer connection. It marks a fresh innings for both Nippon Paint and India Champions, bringing together legacy and protection, passion and technology.
India Champions captain Yuvraj Singh commented, “The team is ready to defend its title in the tournament. We are thrilled about this collaboration with Nippon Paint. n-SHIELD’s innovative products promise to usher in a new era of vehicle protection for Indian consumers.”
n-SHIELD director marketing and BU head Rakesh Handoo added, “Nippon Paint is Asia’s No. 1 Paint company. This is a natural association as our central theme for n-SHIELD brand is – Forever Young. And our cricketing heroes present here are that too. The helmet is the most vital piece of protective gear in cricket, safeguarding players from impact and injury. Placing the n-SHIELD logo here perfectly mirrors the product’s purpose—shielding what matters most.”
