THE INDIAN MEN’S HOCKEY TEAM lifted the Hero Asia Cup 2025 title in Rajgir, Bihar, after a 4–1 victory over South Korea in Sunday’s final at the packed Rajgir Sports Complex, cheered on by a jubilant home crowd.
The victory also secured India a direct qualification for next year’s FIH World Cup, scheduled to be co-hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands from 14 to 30 August 2026.
This marks India’s fourth Asia Cup crown, following earlier triumphs in Kuala Lumpur (2003), Chennai (2007), and Dhaka (2017). South Korea remains the most successful nation in the competition with five titles.
In recognition of the team’s achievement, Hockey India announced a reward of Rs 3 lakh for each player and Rs 1.5 lakh for every member of the support staff.
