Rajasthan Royals part ways with CEO Jake Lush McCrum: Report

Rajasthan Royals has reportedly parted ways with the Jaipur-base IPL franchise’s CEO Jake Lush McCrum.

UK-born McCrum has served the Royals in various capacities – starting in a junior role, then moving into the team’s operations wing before being elevated to CEO in 2021 at the young age of just 28.

Per Cricbuzz, McCrum is currently transitioning out of his role and is expected to be relieved in October.

According to the digital cricket platform, McCrum’s exit was also evident from the television pictures on Tuesday (September 9) evening when the live telecast of SA20 auction started. Otherwise present at the Royals’ auction table, McCrum was conspicuous by his absence at the Paarl Royals table. Kumar Sangakkara, widely tipped to return as the RR head coach, led the Royals’ bidding.

Cricbuzz further reports that London-based team owner Manoj Badale has taken charge of the franchise and is taking all leadership roles out of India to the UK capital.
