Dabang Delhi first PKL team to don special green jersey

DABANG DELHI K.C. (DDKC) became the first-ever Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) team to wear a special green jersey, marking a powerful step towards sustainability through its partnership with Aavashyak GAME. The team sported the green kit in their clash against Puneri Paltan on Sunday, symbolising their commitment to a greener, cleaner future.

As part of the ‘Raid for Green’ campaign, every raid point scored by Dabang Delhi K.C. directly contributes to positive environmental action with one tree planted for every successful raid in high-pollution and low-green-cover areas across the NCR region. To date, the team has already planted 295 trees, a media release said.

The initiative also seeks to engage and inspire fans to take part in the movement. Through the “Green Fan of the Match” segment, supporters who share their eco-friendly actions will be recognised during home matches, receiving a sapling and a digital acknowledgment for their contribution. The first ‘Green Game for the Climate’, hosted during the Delhi leg opener, featured real-time green metrics and fan sustainability pledges displayed live during the match.

DDKC CEO Prashant Mishra said, “At Dabang Delhi K. C., we’ve always believed that the power of sport extends beyond the mat. With the Aavashyak GAME initiative, we’re turning our kabaddi moments into a force for good, where every raid, every cheer, and every fan action contributes to a cleaner, greener tomorrow. This green jersey is more than just a colour; it’s a symbol of our commitment to climate-positive change.”
