PRIME VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE (PVL) has introduced a Kannada-language feed for its YouTube livestreams in the fourth edition of the league. The new addition on Saturday, further enhances accessibility for regional audiences across India.
The opening day of the tournament saw an impressive surge in viewership, with the English feed alone crossing over 3 million views on YouTube. The Kannada stream now joins PVL’s growing list of regional language options, which already includes English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
This initiative aims to connect with Karnataka’s passionate volleyball community, particularly fans of the Bengaluru Torpedoes, and bring the excitement of the league to more households across the region.
Bengaluru Torpedoes co-owner and director Yashwanth Biyyala said, “The support we receive from Karnataka is immense, and providing the livestream in our local language is a sincere effort to engage more deeply with our loyal fans. This step will bring the excitement of the Prime Volleyball League right into the homes of our most passionate supporters.”
PVL CEO Joy Bhattacharjya added, “Expanding our digital footprint with the Kannada feed on YouTube is a crucial step in the league’s strategic growth. Our large viewership on the opening day, clearly demonstrates the massive, multilingual appetite for volleyball across India. Adding a sixth regional option — alongside English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam — is about more than just numbers; it’s about nation-building for the sport. By delivering tailored, accessible content, we are not only supporting the passionate fanbase in Karnataka and the Bengaluru Torpedoes but also creating a model for deep, inclusive fan engagement that ensures the PVL truly becomes a household name everywhere.”
