GOOGLE has released its Year in Search 2025 report for India, highlighting the most trending topics across the country. This year, Google also introduced an “A to Z of Trending Searches”, where each letter corresponds to a popular query, offering a snapshot of what captured the nation’s attention.
Top 10 trending searches in India (2025):

3. Asia Cup
4. ICC Champions Trophy
5. Pro Kabbadi League (PKL)
6. Maha Kumbh
7. Women’s World Cup

Sport dominated the list, with five sporting properties appearing in the top 10. The IPL emerged as the most searched term in the country. The Asia Cup ranked third, followed by the ICC Champions Trophy in fourth, the PKL in fifth, and the Women’s World Cup in seventh place.
These rankings reflect the strong influence of cricket and PKL on India’s search behaviour throughout the year.
