Canada Super 60 S2 in Vancouver; Yuvraj eyes global footprint

THE CANADA SUPER 60 LEAGUE has confirmed that its second season will be held from September 29 to October 4, 2026, at Vancouver’s iconic BC Place Stadium, as organisers look to position the tournament as a major event on the global cricket calendar.

Backed by Cricket Canada and fronted by former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, the league is aiming to build on a successful debut season and accelerate cricket’s growth in North America.

Canada Super 60 is a professional T10-format league, featuring fast-paced 10-over matches designed to deliver high-intensity, short-duration games for modern audiences. The tournament features six franchise teams representing major Canadian cities, including Brampton Blitz, Montreal Tigers, Toronto Sixers and Vancouver Kings. Season 2 will once again be staged at BC Place, a multi-purpose indoor stadium that has emerged as a key venue for cricket in North America.

The inaugural season in October 2025 marked a significant milestone for Canadian cricket, combining international stars with domestic talent and introducing both men’s and women’s competitions under one platform. Defending champions Brampton Blitz are expected to return for Season 2, as the league continues to attract global players while nurturing local talent.

Organisers also positioned the league as more than just a sporting event, integrating entertainment elements such as concerts, cultural showcases and fan experiences. League partner and global ambassador Yuvraj Singh emphasised the long-term vision of the tournament, stating that the aim is to establish Canada Super 60 as a “marquee event in the global cricket calendar.”
