LA28 OLYMPICS organisers have announced that tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning April 9, with a presale for Los Angeles and Oklahoma City locals beginning April 2.
“This week marks the first opportunity for fans to claim a seat at the LA28 Olympic Games,” said LA28 chief executive officer Reynold Hoover. “We’ve been thrilled to see the outpouring of enthusiasm from fans all around the world, and we’re counting down the final days to people being able to secure their tickets to history.”
LA28’s programme will include 1 million tickets priced at $28 (€26), the lowest price point. Roughly 5% of tickets will cost over $1,000 (€930), more than 75% will be under $400 (€370), and nearly 50% will be under $200 (€185), insidethegames reports.
“Tickets are comparable to and in many cases well under what we see for other professional sporting and major entertainment events in the US,” LA28’s senior vice-president of Games delivery revenue Allison Katz-Mayfield was quoted as having told reporters.
“While LA28’s resale platforms will not launch until 2027, having a variety of platforms was critical to providing fans multiple points of access to verified tickets, and we’re thrilled to add Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets to our resale programme.”
Olympic hospitality packages
In addition to individual tickets, curated ticket-inclusive hospitality packages will be available from LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider, On Location, with a presale window currently live on the LA28 Hospitality page.
