JETSYNTHESYS HAS announced playback singer Sonu Nigam as the owner of the Kolkata Hawks and gaming personality Scout (Tanmay Singh) as the owner of the Gujarat Wolves for GEPL Season 3.
The expanded eight-team competition will be held at the Jairaj Sports & Convention Centre in Pune from August 1 to August 9, broadcast on Star Sports and JioHotstar, with a prize pool of Rs 3.1 crore.
Returning franchise owners include Peyush Bansal (Delhi Sharks), Nikhil Kamath, Ankit Nagori and Prashanth Prakash (Bengaluru Badgers), Sara Tendulkar (Mumbai Grizzlies), Suniel Shetty (Pune Stallions), and Amit Mehta (Hyderabad Rhinos), a media release said.
