INSURANCEDEKHO HAS MADE its first major foray into international cricket sponsorship by becoming the co-presenting on-air broadcast sponsor for India’s upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, while also securing the title sponsorship for India’s subsequent two-Test tour of Sri Lanka. The move marks a significant expansion of the insurtech platform’s sports marketing strategy as it seeks to strengthen brand visibility through one of India’s most-followed sports.
The three-match T20I series between India and Zimbabwe begins on July 23 at the Harare Sports Club, with InsuranceDekho’s branding featuring prominently during the television broadcast as the co-presenting on-air sponsor. The company will then transition to on-ground title sponsorship for India’s two-Test series in Sri Lanka, with the bilateral contest officially branded as the “InsuranceDekho Cup.”
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, who was recently appointed as InsuranceDekho’s brand ambassador, will front the campaign promoting the partnership. Commenting on the association, Ganguly said that a cricket team performs with confidence when it knows it has strong support behind it, adding that InsuranceDekho follows the same philosophy in supporting its advisors, customers and now Team India through its “Bharat, Khul Kar Khelo” campaign.
The Zimbabwe series itself forms part of India’s international calendar ahead of a busy home and overseas season. All three T20Is will be played in Harare before the Indian team travels to Sri Lanka for the two-Test series beginning in August. The Zimbabwe matches will be broadcast in India through FanCode and Zee Entertainment’s Unite8 Sports channels, providing InsuranceDekho with extensive television and digital visibility.
The Sri Lanka Cricket Board also welcomed the partnership, stating that collaborations with brands such as InsuranceDekho help promote participation and strengthen the game’s commercial ecosystem while supporting bilateral cricket.
