MUMBAI: Eurosport India, from the house of Warner Bros Discovery, Wednesday announced the acquisition of broadcast rights for the upcoming 49th King’s Cup 2023, which will feature the Indian national football team. The tournament will be live streamed on FIFA+.
The tournament is played in the September FIFA international window.
The Blue Tigers will be seen in action at the King’s Cup which will be held from September 7-10. All matches will be played at the 700th Anniversary Stadium in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This edition will be India’s fourth participation in the tournament, with the most recent one coming in 2019, where the Blue Tigers went down to Curacao in the semifinal before beating the host Thailand 1-0 for the bronze medal.
Indian fans can see the men in blue kickstart their King’s Cup campaign against the highest ranked team of the tournament, Iraq on September 7 at 4:00 pm LIVE on Eurosport while the host, Thailand will clash against Lebanon later in the evening. India is currently 99th in the latest FIFA rankings. Iraq is 70th, Lebanon is 100th and Thailand is 113th in the FIFA rankings.

The Indian team is currently on a good run of form after winning three international trophies, starting with the Tri-Nations Series in March, the Intercontinental Cup in Bhubaneshwar and the SAFF Championship in Bengaluru, in July.
