The 47th Ordinary UEFA Congress was held today in Lisbon, Portugal, and the 55 member associations unanimously re-elected Aleksander Ceferin as UEFA president for a four-year term by acclamation.
Speaking ahead of his re-election, Ceferin said: “Protecting this game is our mission. Our goal. Our purpose. Our raison d’être. We are elected, and we have a duty to set an example. We must never forget this. All of us.”
The UEFA annual report 2021/22, the 2021/22 financial statements and annexes, and the budget for the 2023/24 financial year were all approved.
The 48th Ordinary UEFA Congress will take place in Madrid, Spain on 8 February 2024.
