Real Madrid have announced the signing of 16-year-old Palmeiras attacker Endrick Felipe, seen as one of the world’s most promising players.
Endrick will continue his development with Palmeiras, Real Madrid announced on their official statement, and he will visit Valdebebas “in the next few days,” per that same announcement.
The wonderkid will only join the club in the summer of 2024 as FIFA regulations prevent him from playing in a different continent while he’s under 18.
Real Madrid will reportedly pay around €65 million ($74m) to sign him and he will only be allowed to sign a three-year contract, although both parties have agreed to sign three more years once they’re legally allowed to.
Harks back to 2017 when the LaLiga giants signed then 16-year-old forward Vinicius Junior from Flamengo for a reported £38m.
A statement released by Real at the time had said that the club will own the rights to the Brazilian from July 2018, when the player turns 18.
Vinícius Jr. had at the time been the second most expensive signing from Brazil behind then Barcelona now Paris Saint-Germain suoerstar Neymar Jr.
