NEW DELHI: Continuing its push to promote 3×3 basketball, 3BL has acquired the global exclusive rights of FIBA 3×3 Fantasy Games.
The 11th edition of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour will begin with the Utsunomiya Opener from 14th May in Japan.
“We want to be able to engage with the fans in a way that brings them much closer to the game. With the 3×3 Fantasy App we hope to generate new fans of the sport discipline across the world,” said Yoshiya Kato, chairman – 3BL.
The ‘3×3 Fantasy’ app is the world’s first fantasy app for 3×3 basketball bringing all the fans closer to the game. It’s available for free download on Android and iOS and includes all the latest updates from the world of 3×3 ranging from player selections to making predictions and earning points with a chance to win some exciting prizes. In 2022, the game will focus on the FIBA 3×3 World Tour and 3×3 Challengers, which take place nearly every weekend from May to December. More competitions are expected to be covered in future editions.

Fan engagement on the 3×3 Fantasy App is expected to be driven by the already existing robust and growing network of affiliated yet independently organized FIBA 3×3 events worldwide – which is predicated on player registrations. Additionally, worldwide individual ranking of players on the FIBA 3×3 portal and the FIBA 3×3 World Tour official website, which includes key statistics and profile details, provides all fans the necessary tools to make informed predictions.
Founded in 2017, 3BL is the exclusive rights holder for conducting 3×3 professional basketball leagues in the Indian subcontinent, which includes India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, Thailand and Bhutan.
Under Directors Yoshiya Kato (chairman) and Rohit Bakshi (who is also league commissioner) has a clear vision to grow and promote 3×3 culture and its potential throughout the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia by organizing a professional circuit, grassroots programs and build indoor 3×3 basketball facilities for the betterment of existing and upcoming players.
