AI-centred MRI solution for golfers introduced in Pune

PUNE: Korean medical AI startup PMX, along with Indian partner InMed Prognostics, Monday announced an MRI solution for golfers.

The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) solution was introduced at the Poona Club Golf League (PGL), held here from March 4 to 6.

InMed Prognostics is an Indian medical solution company that supplies products to more than 15 hospitals and visual diagnosis centers in India.

Through the event, PMX showed that AI-based solutions are applicable not only to medical care but to sports. The solution claims to improve athletic ability and prevent injuries through an MRI image analysis of an athlete’s body.

An official release states that the solution enables doctors to check the whole body of a patient by regions in 3D images, and obtain body composition analysis information such as muscle subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT), intermuscular adipose tissue (IMAT) and visceral adipose tissue (VAT). Moreover, it is designed to show active body parts including analyses of bones, organs, and adipose tissue, and each part mainly used for an exercise.
