PVL’s Bengaluru franchise scores EatFit as principal sponsor

BENGALURU: Prime Volleyball League (Pro Volleyball League rebadged for legal purposes) franchise Bengaluru Torpedoes on Monday announced EatFit, a food delivery platform housed under cloud kitchen company Curefoods, as the team’s principal sponsor for the ongoing season, which tipped off on 5 February at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.

EatFit will appear on the front of Bengaluru Torpedoes’ shirt.

Speaking about the association, Gokul Kandhi, chief business officer, Curefoods said: “We at EatFit see it as a huge opportunity to step in as the principal sponsor for the Bengaluru Torpedoes franchise. Nutrition and health are the key pillars of EatFit’s philosophy. We aim to inspire people to adopt healthy eating, and I believe Bengaluru Torpedoes give us the ideal platform to do it. We also feel that it’s an absolute privilege to be playing our part in promoting the sport and laying a strong foundation in building a volleyball culture in our city, state as well as our country. We look forward to a wonderful season and hope this association brings more glory to the league, to sport, to players and to us as a company as well.”

Yashwant Biyyala, co-owner, Bengaluru Torpedoes, added: “We’re incredibly excited to have EatFit as the principal sponsor of Bengaluru Torpedoes. EatFit is an ambitious company, and it truly reflects on its growth over the past few years. They have not only come on board as a sponsor but they are also committed towards helping us develop the sport across the state through our grassroots program.

“I am confident that their vision and commitment towards building this franchise will bring prosperity to this sport.”
