Accor replaces Emirates as PSG shirt sponsor: Report

PARIS: Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) will be terminating its 14-year long association with global airline giant Emirates after the end of this season, Le Parisien reports.

The club is one of the richest in the world, owned by Qatar Sports Investments and chaired by Nasser Al Khelaifi, who was recently named as a member of UEFA’s executive committee.

Khelaifi will reportedly hold a press conference on Friday to confirm that the world-renowned Accor Group of Hotels will be replacing Emirates as its shirt sponsor in a new multi-year global partnership.

According to the French news agency, the deal is expected to be of greater value than the $35 million Emirates has paid the club each year and will be amongst the top 4 shirt sponsorship contracts in European football.
