MELBOURNE: Seasoned tennis administrator Anil Khanna was on Monday nominated as the honorary life president of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF). The decision was taken at the federation’s board of directors meeting held here.
Khanna has also been appointed the chairman of the finance committee as well as the co-chairman of the ATF foundation.
CS Raju was elected as the senior vice-president of the foundation representing South Asia.
Anil Dhuper was elected as the member of the seniors committee while VK Batra was elected as a member of the constitution of the ATF.
Khanna had served as ATF president from 2005 to 2019 and also ITF vice-president from 2015-19. In October 2019, Khanna had decided not to contest for the ATF president’s post in the elections held in India a month later.
For the record, Khanna is also serving as the life President of the All India Tennis Association, a position to which he was “elected in September 2016.
