The Board of Control for Cricket in India has released the schedule for India’s tour of England for 2025.
In a social media post, BCCI stated that during the tour, a Test series of five matches will be played between 20 June and 4 August next year.
Prior to this the England team will be visiting India to play five T20 and three ODIs between 22nd January and 12 February next year.
The last tour of Indian men’s cricket team to England was in 2021 for a series of four Test matches under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Team India was leading 2-1 before the final match was rescheduled to July 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In that decisive Test at Edgbaston, India lost by seven wickets, resulting in a 2-2 draw and missing the chance to secure a series win in England.
