MUMBAI: The mini-auction before the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League is expected to take place on 16th February.
Before that, players who are currently out of contract can register online before February 4.
Also, all the franchises have been informed that the last date by which they should announce their list of retained players for the 2021 edition of the IPL is 20th January.
Additionally, the Indian cricket board has stated in a letter that player managers or player agents would not be entertained.
“Please note that, at this stage of the process, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) will only deal directly with the state associations and at no time will have any communication with player agents or managers. Any failure by a player to abide by this will (unless BCCI in its sole discretion decides otherwise) result in the player’s name being withdrawn with immediate effect from the IPL 2021 auction register and/or IPL 2021 auction list (as appropriate),” said the letter from the BCCI to all the other state associations, which was accessed by The Quint.
