BGMI teams up with CSK for IPL-themed update

KRAFTON INDIA has announced a collaboration between Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as part of the upcoming BGMI 4.3 update.

The update, scheduled to go live on 21 March, will introduce CSK-themed content, in-game collectibles, and a new interactive photo booth feature across select maps.

The announcement follows the company’s earlier partnership with Kolkata Knight Riders. With the latest update, the game will expand its Indian Premier League integrations, offering players multiple team-inspired experiences within the BGMI universe.

The earlier collaboration with Kolkata Knight Riders introduced knight-themed items and gameplay features beginning on 25 March. In contrast, the CSK-themed content will arrive earlier, on 21 March, just ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 season.

As part of the BGMI 4.3 update, Krafton will introduce two CSK branded items in the game. The first is the Thala Legacy Set, an outfit inspired by the team’s identity and colours. The second is the Thala Monster Truck, a vehicle skin carrying CSK branding. These additions will allow players to use CSK themed visuals during matches across BGMI maps.

The update will also introduce a new photo booth feature within the game. The interactive booth will appear on maps such as Erangel and Livik, allowing players to capture in-game moments using CSK themed backdrops.

KRAFTON India head of business development and partnerships Seddharth Merrotra said, “Chennai Super Kings has one of the most devoted fan bases in world cricket, and BGMI has one of the most engaged gaming communities in India. Bringing them together had to feel meaningful for both – not just as a visual crossover, but as a genuine expression of that shared passion. We wanted fans to represent their team identity from inside the game, not just on the surface of it. The Photo Booth POIs are the fullest expression of that intent – something BGMI players have simply never experienced before inside the battleground.”

CSK managing director KS Viswanathan added, “Chennai Super Kings has always shared an extraordinary connection with its fans. Bringing that connection into BGMI allows supporters to celebrate their team in a completely new format where the excitement of cricket meets the thrill of competitive gameplay.”
