BHIM Payments App appoints MS Dhoni as brand ambassador

NPCI BHIM Services Limited has announced the appointment of Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the brand ambassador for the BHIM Payments App, positioned as Bharat Ka Apna Payments App.

Built on the digital payments infrastructure of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the BHIM Payments App offers a secure platform for digital transactions. The association with Dhoni reflects shared values of reliability, composure and performance under pressure.

Both the cricketer and the platform have grown from strong foundations to serve the country at scale, Dhoni rising from a small town to become one of India’s most respected cricket leaders, and BHIM evolving from a payments interface into a widely used national platform.

Following its repositioning as Bharat Ka Apna Payments App, BHIM Payments App has strengthened its presence across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns. The platform has been designed with financial inclusion at its core and currently supports more than 15 regional languages.

It is also optimised for low-connectivity environments, enabling broader adoption of digital payments among users in rural and semi-urban regions.
