Ahead of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have unveiled their jersey for the upcoming season.
Taking to social media, the five-time champions showcased their iconic yellow colours, marking the beginning of the IPL merchandise buzz.
The classic yellow hues are complemented by a distinctive camouflage strip adorning both shoulders. Additionally, five stars adorn the CSK logo, standing for each of their five IPL title triumphs.
MS Dhoni stays captain for 2024 edition
Acting on expected lines, the IPL franchise has retained its iconic captain MS Dhoni, who announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020, to lead the side for yet another season. It was under his leadership that CSK won their fifth championship last year, defeating title holders Gujarat Titans (GT) in the summit clash.
The wicketkeeper-batter was dealing with a knee injury last season but did not miss a game. He, however, underwent a surgery in Mumbai immediately after the conclusion of the cash-awash league and has since recovered.
