Coca-Cola India Foundation extended support for India’s jr women’s hockey team

ANANDANA, The Coca-Cola India Foundation, has detailed the support extended to India’s junior women’s hockey team as they prepare for the FIH Women’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 in Santiago, Chile.

Anandana and Hockey India have been partners for more than three years, working to expand opportunities for young women athletes and strengthen pathways for emerging hockey talent across the country.

The collaboration has focused on consistent training support, international exposure, and holistic athlete development, long-term efforts designed to equip players with the skills, resilience and competitive readiness required for global tournaments.

This support enabled the team’s recent five-match exposure tour in Australia, offering valuable international match experience. The partnership also facilitated multiple training camps in India, Amsterdam and Berlin, featuring position-specific coaching and high-performance programs aimed at sharpening technical ability and match temperament.

The support package covered performance equipment, kits, specialised training tools, travel and accommodation for overseas tours, as well as ongoing welfare initiatives. Beyond the national squad, the partnership also contributed to the Junior Women’s National Championships, strengthening the wider talent pipeline for women’s hockey in India.

Hockey India president Dr Dilip Tirkey said, “Anandana – The Coca-Cola India Foundation has been a steady partner in strengthening the women’s hockey ecosystem. Their support across specialized camps and the Australia exposure tour has played a meaningful role in preparing our junior athletes for global competition. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to building pathways for young women in hockey.”

Coca-Cola India and South West Asia vice president for public affairs, communications and sustainability Devyani Rana added, “Our collaboration with Hockey India under #SheTheDifference is rooted in creating sustainable pathways for women athletes to excel. The support for the junior women’s team has focused on strengthening their preparation through international exposure, specialized coaching, and comprehensive development initiatives. These investments empower young athletes not just for this World Cup, but for their long-term sporting journeys and contribute to strengthening India’s position in women’s hockey globally.”
