MUMBAI: IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have announced that it will have ACT Fibernet as its official connectivity and internet partner once again come the 2019 season.
Their association had begun last season after the Super Kings had returned from a two-year suspension.
Headquartered in Bengaluru, ACT Fibernet is India’s largest fiber-focused wired broadband Internet Service Provider. In recent years, the company has made a name for itself in the gaming and eSports sector of the country by organising gaming festivals and opening cafes for the same. It has also been involved with social work by providing internet in public places such as schools and libraries in cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and New Delhi.
As part of the agreement that has been facilitated by Baseline Ventures, ACT Fibernet will provide nearly 40,000 fans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai with Wi-fi connectivity of the fastest speed during every home game.
Additionally, CSK and ACT Fibernet will enhance the fans’ in-stadia experience by organising exciting contests for fans with prizes such as match tickets and signed memorabilia to be won.
“CSK are one of the most celebrated teams and the reigning champions. We are immensely excited to be their chosen connectivity partner. Through this partnership, our aim is to elevate the in-stadia experience for the fans and players,” ACT Fibernet COO Sandeep Gupta said.
