MUMBAI: The VIVO Pro Kabaddi League is growing from strength to strength every season and is finding new ways for fan engagement in its sixth edition. This time, it has not only got the backing of Star Sports but also global fitness and sports brand, Decathlon who will join hands to launch the ‘KBD Raid On’ contest.
The initiative marks Decathlon’s first association in the indigenous contact sport and could pave the way for more partnerships in the future. As part of the contest, one lucky fan will be given the opportunity to have a real taste of playing Kabaddi and being showcased on national, live television. The challenge for the participant is to score a raid point against some of the star performers in the PKL season. If done successfully, he or she will win a cash prize of Rs. 100,000.
The contest was met with a positive response in Pune, which was organized at one of Decathlon’s outlets in the city. Mahbub Vijapure won the cash prize by successfully raiding Amit Kumar, Rajesh Mondal and Bajrang from Puneri Paltan and Parteek, Arun Kumar H.N, Amit Singh from Haryana Steelers.
‘KBD Raid On’ will take place across multiple venues during the 3-month duration of VIVO Pro Kabaddi. For kabaddi fans this is one opportunity to showcase their skills alongside their favourite VIVO Pro Kabaddi players.
