BHUBANESWAR: Close on the heels of Indian Super League franchise Pune City FC winding up operations with new owners, a new name and a new home city, comes the confirmation that ISL team Delhi Dynamos FC is shifting base out of the capital.
Delhi Dynamos is being renamed as Odisha FC (OFC) and will play its ISL home matches for the upcoming 2019-2020 season at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium with club owner Dr Anil Sharma signing a long-term agreement with the Odisha government on Saturday.
The agreement signed in the Odisha capital on Saturday by the Sports and Youth Services Department of the state government with GMS Inc, the parent company of Delhi Dynamos, in the presence of state chief minister Naveen Patnaik.
The state government will support the club’s relocation through the provision of infrastructural facilities to it, including training grounds and Kalinga Stadium, The Hindu reports.
