Dhoni strikes Rs150m deal with German cybersecurity firm

PUNE: Former India captain MS Dhoni continues to be a huge favourite amongst marketers in the country and abroad as well as he has signed a 3-year deal with German cybersecurity company, WardWiz worth Rs 150 million, Economic Times reports.

WardWiz has its India operations in the city of Pune and offers security solution products for both PCs and mobiles.

Noida-based sports management firm Aarka Sports landed the deal for him, ET reports.

2018  has been excellent for Dhoni when it comes to endorsements as he signed up with another Pune-based brand, Indigo Paints as well as the online medical store Netmeds during the year. He had recently announced a 25% stake in sports tech startup Run Adam and was named one of the mentors and brand ambassadors of the company.

“I am very excited to be associated with WardWiz that has always been displayed as the booster  and one-stop shop in complete security for personal computers and mobile systems. I am working closely with them on my ideas too,” the business daily quoted Dhoni as having said.

WardWiz India CEO Abhijeet Khot welcomed Dhoni on board, saying that the 37-year-old wicketkeeper batsman is a perfect fit for the brand’s spirit of progress.

“Our association is the right fit with many common factors and I am sure this alliance will emphasise the factor that the brand is the best choice for our patrons,” Khot said.

“We believe we have embarked on a journey and with him on board and we are even more excited about the road that lies ahead,” he signed off.
