MUMBAI: Disney+ Hostar has finally filled the vacancy left by the departure of erstwhile chief executive Ajit Mohan when he joined Facebook as its India head in January 2019.
Sunil Rayan has been appointed as the new president and head Disney+ Hostar. Rayan joins Disney+ Hostar from Google where he was for over seven years in various capacities.
Rayan has 20 years of experience in business building, strategy, sales, business development, marketing, commercial & product operations.
At Google, his last held position was that of managing director, Cloud for Games. Prior to that, Rayan was MD at Mobile App Ads Business at Google, where he drove significant commercial scale, built high performing teams and expanded the business to new markets.
Prior to joining Google, Rayan worked with McKinsey & Co. for eight years, where he was instrumental in driving commercial growth for large tech clients and developed deep expertise in sales force productivity and tech-enabled selling.
He has also had stints with Infosys, iGate Mastech and IBM.
