Roy Chowdhury’s position at Dream Sports, where she will be working directly with company founders Harsh Jain and Bhavit Shah, will involve a considerable focus on policy and regulatory advocacy, in addition to global expansion and eventual plans to go public, PRovoke reports.

Posting on LinkedIn about her move to Dream Sports, Roy Chowdhury wrote: “…I loved the energy of the founders, Harsh Jain and Bhavit Sheth and will be directly working with them, and the super-qualified CXO team, to realize their objectives of positioning, visibility and advocacy. I also spoke with a whole host of people, including my unmatchable mentors, industry peers and trusted journalists, and everyone is convinced of its potential to grow multi-fold in the coming years.”

Roy Chowdhury, who was with Softbank for just under six years, joined the the Japanese conglomerate in 2015 from Google India, where her last portfolio was as director & Country head, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs.

In her 20+ years professional career, she has also been associated with Bharti Airtel, HP and GE Capital India in various capacities. She started her career as a journalist, covering business and worked with publications like Business Today, The Economic Times, and Business Standard before taking the corporate communications route.
