MUMBAI: East Bengal FC have signed on Italian sportswear brand PERF on the eve of the upcoming season of the I League. The deal is for the next three seasons, reports Sportskeeda.
The Italian company, with a presence in the US, Europe, Canada, and the UK, declared its intention to enter the Indian market earlier this year. It has tied up with e commerce platforms and independent retail chains for distribution of products in the country, it is learnt.
The brand plans to launch in metros first, and then lead in to tier I and II cities. Sports goods manufacturer Shiv Naresh Sports were East Bengal’s official kit sponsor from 2013 to 2017. That deal, reports say, has not been renewed.
