Formula 1 launches official fan site ‘F1 Fan Voice’

LONDON: Formula 1 extended its string of innovations this season, announcing on Friday the launch of F1 Fan Voice, an online initiative for fans to share their views about the sport and suggestions.

It can be on the website www.f1fanvoice.com through surveys, polls, forums and blogs. The idea is built behind bringing the management closer to the fans, hearing their thoughts out to take well-informed decisions.

It is a built in partnership with British sports and leisure CRM firm Goodform. It has been made accessible to everyone and is without cost. In two weeks it has reportedly reached over 24,000 subscribers, with more than 100,000 poll votes, 20,000 surveys completed and over 400 blogs opened.

Matt Roberts, research director, Formula 1 commented on the development: “It’s an exciting era for Formula 1 and as the sport continues to grow and evolve, we’re committed to ensuring that we’re listening to our fans and meeting their needs. By sharing fans’ views on our community, whether it be via our regular surveys and polls, or by posting their thoughts on our forums or in a blog, we will be helped to inform decisions at the heart of our sport. You’ll see members of the F1 Fan Voice Team taking part in the forums and commenting on the blogs too – they’ll be reading what they post, asking opinions, and making sure that everything our fans are telling us is being listened to. We know that no two fans are the same, and so by sharing their views with us, they will help us to do our job – to deliver a sport which appeals to all of our fans.

As Ross Brawn wrote in his welcome message: “‘Fans’ thoughts and feedback are more important than anything else within the Formula 1 community. Without the fans, Formula 1 simply would not exist.

“For this purpose, F1 Fan Voice is the right place to be.”
