LONDON: The fifth season of the ABB Formula E Championship is all set to begin on 15 December this year in Ad Diriyah, Saudi Arabia with 22 brand new Gen2 cars, rules and cities. FIA, the governing body of world motorsport has approved the participation of 11 teams in the competition, which will mark the first instance of Formula E being contested by more than ten teams.
The teams are Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler Formula E Team, BMW I Andretti Motorsport, Dragon, DS Techeetah, Virgin Racing, HWA, Mahindra Racing, NIO Formula E Team, Nissan e.dams, Panasonic Jaguar Racing, VENTURI Formula E Team.
The official pre-season testing will take place at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia from October 16-19 and will be open for fans who have registered to attend the event.
