ZURICH: World football’s governing body FIFA on Thursday lifted the "suspension that was imposed on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in April 2021 due to undue third-party interference".

“The decision was taken after FIFA received confirmation that the normalisation committee of the PFF had regained full control of the PFF’s premises and was in a position to manage its finances,” the Bureau of the FIFA Council stated.

MUMBAI: All India Football Federation general secretary Kushal Das on Wednesday resigned from his post on "health grounds", ending his 12-year tenure at the AIFF. Das, who was appointed to the top post in 2010, has been on leave since June 20 on health grounds, though many in football circles said he was kept out of his job by the Committee of Administrators on other grounds.
