Leading toy and game company Hasbro unveiled its latest offering Tuesday – MONOPOLY: Cricket Edition.
The timing of the launch is no doubt linked to the fervour in the country around the ongoing ICC World Cup.
The latest edition of the board game is part of Hasbro’s broader strategy to expand the range of ‘Made-In-India’ and ‘Made-for-India’ offerings.
Per an official release, this unique board game is designed to provide fans of all ages with a fresh and immersive way to experience the thrill of cricket while enjoying the classic board game of MONOPOLY.
The game has been designed in collaboration with Bengaluru-based game design agency Mozaic Games. The game is now available for purchase on various e-commerce platforms and local toy stores at a price of Rs 999.

The release further states that MONOPOLY: Cricket Edition transforms traditional MONOPOLY gameplay into a cricket extravaganza. The properties in the game represent star cricketers, each possessing unique skills in batting, bowling, or fielding. Players can challenge each other to cricket matches, switching between roles as batter and bowler, earning points, and performing bonus actions. The game allows players to step into the shoes of a cricket team manager, enabling them to build a dream team, trade players, and win mini-cricket matches to become the ultimate champion.
